It is with a heavy heart that we announce our final live-stream concert until further notice. The show will be broadcast on Saturday 5th Sept at 8 pm BST (3 pm ET).

The support over the last 11 weeks has been amazing, thank you!

To see people tuning in from all over the world and showing their love by buying our music, sharing, and donating has really kept us going since we started the series.

Unfortunately, due to current travel bans and visa restrictions, we can no longer remain in the same country and are forced to go our separate ways.

These digital concerts have been a learning curve but thanks to you, we’ve enjoyed every step of the way!
We hope to incorporate more live-streams into our touring schedule, once we can get back on the road. How long this will be is still a mystery, your guess is as good as ours.

Our Patreon page is in the pipeline and will be launched within the next few weeks. We’ll be able to use Patreon as a way to continue working together from afar. We’re excited to use this platform to share our new music with our community while our collaboration is remote.

So help us to make this Saturday a gig to remember, tune in, pull up a chair (and a box of tissues) or put on your dancing shoes, and we’ll see y’all there!

Your fan,

ADT

New Music Video 'The Blackest Crow'

This parting song tells the tale of two lovers, faced with the heartrending burden of saying goodbye, and promising to love each other 'til death.

Although many lines from this song are traced back to old Scottish and English ballads, the earliest record of a version similar to ours was published in by Henry Belden in Missouri, 1906 (Source) under the title ‘Banishment’.

Many different versions now exist on both sides of the Atlantic and it has become a firm favourite in the Appalachian folk scene.

Like many European songs, The Blackest Crow has been enriched by the crossing of cultures in America and it's lyrics remain deeply relatable, poignant, and emotional.

Check out the YouTube video here or by clicking the photo above!
You can also find it on Facebook here (please give it a like and a share if you’re signed up!).

ADT Live-stream Saturdays

Hey folks, we are taking to the stage (ahem, living room) every Saturday to share our music with y'all!

Watch via our Facebook page and Instagram page at 8PM GMT (that’s 3PM ET).

Until recently, touring was our life and our bread and butter. We miss playing live! We miss you guys, the human connection, the vibes, we even miss hauling our gear around… well almost.

It doesn’t quite scratch the same itch, but we are grateful for the opportunity to perform these concerts online. We are hoping they will help to keep us afloat until we are able to tour again. And we have new songs to share with you all!

Instead of charging for tickets, we’re accepting donations via PayPal.me and will be giving a percentage of the takings to different organisations and charities each week (see live videos for details).

You do not need a PayPal account to give us a tip. When the live video has begun, simply follow the link in the video description and enter your card details. You can also find the link in our Instagram bio and by clicking here. We like using PayPal, however we understand some people prefer not to use it. Our bank details can be given upon request!

It’s worth mentioning that you don't need a Facebook account to watch the live-streams. Anyone can tune in by heading to www.facebook.com/adifferentthread once the show has begun so feel free to invite friends and family that don’t have Facebook accounts, or start a listening party with Facebook friends!

Everyone who shares the video to their Facebook timeline will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win some of our merch and art! There will also be a separate Instagram live-video, but if you want to enter into the prize draw you’ll have to share the live-stream on Facebook!

In our experience, the streaming quality seems to be better on Facebook when compared with Instagram, so we recommend it!

We also recommend using good headphones or plugging us into a sound system for the best listening experience.

Thanks to those who have already tuned in to our online concerts. Your donations and support are keeping us going!

Pull up a chair or put on your dancing shoes and we'll see you there!

New music Video 'Red Is The Rose'

Irish magazine ‘Hot Press’ has premiered our new music video ‘Red Is The Rose’. Check out the article here! Click the photo below to watch the video on youtube.

This traditional Irish ballad is the first song that we learned together after we met busking in Galway, Ireland, back in 2016. Some of this footage was shot just two days after that chance meeting, on an adventure to the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The video also features footage from our various tours of the country over the past four years.

As you may know, we were set to embark on another Irish tour in March – which was sadly cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. Like many touring musicians, we suddenly found ourselves between a rock and a hard place. Thanks to a few absolute heroes (you know who you are) and the support of our followers, we were able to stick to government guidelines, get to a safe place, and adapt to the situation. We owe a lot to the people and places that we've been lucky enough to encounter in this marvelous country, so here's to you, Ireland!

Taken from the upcoming Ep 'Some Distant Shore'. The record is out on May 22nd and is available for pre-order here!
